A Little History:
Suncoast Yachts is an authorized dealer for Island Packet, however pre-owned Packet Craft, Grand Banks, Eastbays and Hatteras are also our specialty.  We are members of the California Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA), www.yachtworld.com, MLS, the Southern California Marine Association (SCMA), San Diego Port Authority Tenants Association, and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).

Suncoast Yachts was founded in 1993, but represents decades of collective experience in the marine industry. Founder Darrell Allen created Suncoast with the mission of selling the highest quality power and sail yachts available. We distinguish ourselves through the quality of the staff we employ and the integrity they display during the sales and service process. We are proud to have a large volume of repeat and referral business. Darrell has worked for larger dealerships and wished Suncoast to have more personal and ongoing relationships with their clients.

Darrell had over 15 years previous experience representing the Grand Banks line of cruising power yachts in both Texas and California. He wanted to create a business that "focused primarily on top quality yachts - cruising and sportfishing."

Starting with the Grand Banks line, he began the company. Within the first year, Suncoast Yachts acquired the Island Packet line of cruising sail yachts. Darrell felt that these lines complimented each other quite well. Later, the builder of Grand Banks added a new boat line: Eastbay. In early 2000, Suncoast Yachts added the Hatteras line of top quality sportfishers and motoryachts.

Our new boats are complimented by an ever-changing inventory of high quality used boats in our brokerage. We continuously track the availability and whereabouts of virtually all brokerage Island Packets, Grand Banks and Hatteras throughout the U.S. as well as other brands of power and sailboats along the West Coast. We source vessels throughout the country and world for our clients looking for that certain special yacht.

Awards:
In 1995, we were presented the "Best New Dealer" award by Island Packet. In 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999, Island Packet presented us with the "Gold Star Award" in recognition for outstanding sales and maintaining the highest standards of customer and factory relations. In 1997, 1998 and 1999, we were also presented the "Million Dollar Dealer award and in 1999 the Dealer Service Award for 5 successful years of selling Island Packets! In 2000 Suncoast received Island Packet's Top 10 dealer award as well as the Golden Wrench award. In 2001, 2002 and 2003  Hatteras awarded us with the Silver Achievement award, as well as the 2002 Customer Service award. 2003 was another successful year for Suncoast Yachts, we received another Golden Wrench Award and the Million Dollar Dealer Award from Island Packet, as well as the Hatteras Silver Achievement Award. In 2004 we received the Dealer Service Award, the Top Ten Dealer Award, the Golden Wrench and the Million Dollar Dealer Award. In 2005 we received the Golden Wrench Award, the Million Dollar Dealer Award as well as the 2005 Gold Star Dealer Award! In 2006 we received the Golden Wrench Award as well as the 2006 Top Ten Dealer Award!

2007 was a success, this year we earned the

#2 for the world for Island Packet Sales!

Suncoast Staff:
The current sales staff are licensed by the California Department of Boating and Waterways, working under Darrell Allen's Yacht Brokers license. We are, of course also bonded for the protection of our clients and their assets. Other services we offer include marine/yacht insurance and sourcing for marine financing and dockage. The sales effort is well supported by an outstanding new yacht commissioning service and support department.
